Davon Brown Internship Experience

This week I created a graphic for STATDC with thier slogan, "It's 11 o Clock Somewhere. The Dignity Line is Open." 

This week, I completed my first advertising design for STATDC. This flyer promote thier Drive Through Food Distribution event this Saturday.

I've been working on a new logo idea for STATDC. They mentioned that they would like the same logo design with a cleaner and more contmeporary design. The top design is mine and the bottom is the old design. I decided to make the figure if the person lifting up the other more visible because it can get lost when the perivous logo is smaller.

I was given the oppurtunity to rebranding STATDC's logo design. I started sketching ideas but I don't want to sway away from the original design concept. My supervisor mentioned changing the colors. So, I've been researching color theory for which color can be suit the mission and ideas of STATDC. 

Hello Readers, Finding an internship can be a had process but always have faith becuase there is one out there for you. In my experience in finding internships, either the internship wasn't what I wanted or I was rejected. And it's hard to move forward from rejection, especially when you wanted to work there.  After searching, I landed an internship at an developing non-profit company named, STAT DC. The real name is  Skills Today Advance Tomorrow Development Center. STAT DC is a  Virginia 501(c)(3) nonprofit, woman-owned talent development agency committed to nurturing, developing and inspiring underserved communities in the District, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area. They  are relentless in thier pursuit to eradicate food insecurity, assist labor-market fairness and overall sustainability. Actually, I had the opportunity to help them donate food in DC last Christmas. I will be creating advertisments and capture photos for STAT DC for their food drives.
